This Forest-Friendly Friday, help us restore one of our planet’s most precious ecosystems.

What is Forest-Friendly Friday?

Instead of buying into the Black Friday frenzy, we’re using the weekend of November 29th to December 2nd to do some good.

Our friends at the Sumatran Orangutan Society (S.O.S.) are restoring one of the most precious ecosystems on earth, re-planting rainforest that’s been destroyed by palm oil, fashion and pulp industries. This forest is the last place on earth where Tigers, Orangutans, Elephants and Rhinos co-exist in the wild, and it’s disappearing at an alarming rate.

Our team visited Sumatra in 2018 to see this reforestation project for ourselves, spending time in the rainforest with a team that's planted more than 1,775,253 trees and saved 184 endangered Orangutans. Help us make Black Friday about more than just getting deals - this Friday, buy Forest Friendly.

How do I get involved?

On Forest-Friendly Friday weekend (November 29th - December 2nd), get 20% off your purchase with code 'FORESTFRIENDLY20', with an additional 20% donated to this special re-forestation project by our partners at the Sumatran Orangutan Society (S.O.S.)

On average, every order will lead to 4 trees planted* - but the impact doesn’t stop here. This money includes 5 years of training locals to look after the trees, weed them, and make organic compost to feed them. It also includes regular monitoring of the reforestation site for the return of wildlife, measuring rainfall and temperature, and building cabins for workers to live in while they protect the reforestation site. To put it simply - our focus is not just on putting trees in the ground, but making sure they stay there and thrive!

*4 trees planted and nurtured for 5 years is based on our average order value of $120 USD.

Fashion vs Rainforest

It’s a little known fact that viscose and rayon fabric comes from wood. In fact, more than 150 million trees are logged every year and turned into these fibres – if placed end to end those trees would circle the earth 14 times! Some of the world’s most ancient and endangered forests are being logged to feed demand for these fabrics, placing vulnerable ecosystems, wildlife and communities at serious risk.

Today Indonesia is experiencing the highest deforestation rates in the world. Logging for palm oil and rayon fabric are pushing Indonesia’s rainforests, including the Leuser Ecosystem in Sumatra, to a point of no return. Our dollars can make a real difference - funding the people and projects on the ground who are fighting to protect this majestic rainforest every single day.

More Trees Please

This Forest-Friendly Friday weekend we've released an exclusive Trees Please tee (only 25 made!) so you can proudly show your commitment to our planet!

For every tee that is sold, we donates $10 to the Sumatran Orangutan Society (S.O.S.) in your name to put a stop to rapid deforestation for viscose fabric and palm oil. This insanely comfortable tee is made from 100% ‘Lenzing Modal’, an eco-friendly fabric sourced from sustainably grown beech wood. Purchase with a purpose this weekend and help us protect the rainforest.
