How to Limit Your Music Festival Footprint

How to Limit Your Music Festival Footprint

With summer in full swing, concerts and music festivals are the highlights of the season. There is something to be said about being in nature while surrounded by people who share the same love and appreciation for music as you! It is also a great opportunity to be a little more plant-conscious and show off your creative style through your festival outfits.

Let’s start off with some of our top tips on how to get through festival season while still prioritizing the environment!

1. Bring reusable utensils and cups.
It’s crazy how much waste is generated through single-use cups and utensils. Instead, just remember to pack your reusable water bottle, travel mugs, and utensils! The earth will thank you for it. J

2. Bring your own snacks
.
Most food at festivals will be wrapped in some sort of single-use plastic. Save money and time that would be spent in a line-up and just bring your own! Homemade sandwiches, nuts, fruit and cut up veggies, odds are they will be more delicious anyway!
3. Don’t forget to pack up your campsite!
If you’re camping at the festival a good principle to follow is to leave the campsite how you found it. Make sure you pick up after yourself and don’t leave any waste behind!
4. If you see litter on the ground, pick it up!
Festivals generate tonnes and tonnnes of waste that is often left behind. This is a simple yet effective act to help ensure that mother earth is being looked after!

Now that you’re set to make your festival experience as eco-friendly as possible, let’s talk about outfits! We’ve picked out some TAMGA pieces that we think would look killer dancing on the festival grounds and snapped on the gram'!

Our festival go-to summer boho look is pairing a figure-flattering tank like the Tika top with flowy mini like the Nola skirt. Throw on belt to accent your figure, or simply leave as is if you’re going for a more relaxed look. We love pairing this outfit with a matching hair accessory for a boho cool-girl vibe!
